Lost in action #onthisday 1915 at #Ypres, @Blackheath_1858 & @IrishRugby centre Basil Maclear. Described as “a lion of the game”. His Royal Dublin Fusiliers were surrounded and gassed outside Ypres, and Maclear was killed leading a breakout. #ww1 #rugbyremembers @PeterJones37
