This was true for a time. By 1997, Visual C++ was as good at general Pentium and Pentium Pro assembly coding as I was. That time is coming with AI, but not yet.

coding with AI is turning into pokémon: you don’t pick the best, you build a party — match-ups of speed, context, reasoning, style and cost. fast + cheap often beats slow + expensive.
Been playing around with Grok Code in Cursor. It's ridiculously fast and good at following instructions. I made this battle simulator prototype in one day and tested Grok Code as a Design agent for @flavo_ai . The results were pretty good! 👇
