NEW: An investigation has been launched into 'organised abuse' at a London special school after CCTV was discovered of pupils being physically assaulted and neglected. The videos, found by staff, show pupils being mistreated in padded seclusion rooms. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-588856…

Welsh Gov. launch Restrictive Practices Framework. "Senior leaders should have knowledge of the range and extent of restrictive practices that are used within the organisation. There should be a system for collecting this information". Sleuth does that. gov.wales/reducing-restr…
New KCSIE guidance refers to restrictive intervention guidance, suggesting restraint reduction may become a safeguarding responsibility. We've produced summaries of both documents mentioned.

We like this graphic but wonder if #3 in box 5 read: 'Teachers should be trained in specific strategies if supporting pupils whose behaviour suggests a range of unmet needs, e.g those relating to social,emotional and mental health' it would better reflect the SEN Code of Practice
