That's exactly it. ADs aren't the problem. You got a pay for backend somehow. It's that all the platforms and marketing teams make the absolute shittiest choices to infuriate their viewers. How much MORE effective could the ads be if we weren't all so annoyed by them?
Glad to see more streamers doing this. It also gets rid of pre-rolls which are horrible for new viewers. ADs aren't going away any time soon so making them a less shitty experience for the community is always the play in my book.

We DID get a UMD re-release on the PSP though. The DeJap translation of this was the very first "import" and translation I ever played. SNES9X on my Mac G3 did NOT like that opening dialog though.
21 years ago today, DeJap Translations released the English translation for Star Ocean (SNES)! 🎂🥳🎉 Star Ocean never left Japan, so this translation is the only means to play it. It’s an excellent, highly detailed game with stunning graphics.
