It is interesting to see Jean Louise's thoughts on marriage and its importance. She values Henry rather than valuing his heritage. The back and forth between her and her aunt Alexandra perfectly illustrates the dynamic between old and new customs. #summerapread19

I find it interesting that Jean Louise chooses to stay in the city away from Atticus, even though she knows that he needs her help. I think this is because ever since Jem passed away, Jean Louise feels that she would not be able to fill his shoes and help (1/2) #summerapread19
