Y’day some Yr 11s asked if I was nervous for their exam. Surprise when I said: ‘No, these are your exams. I’ve done my job & it’s over to you to do well now’. They responded ‘But if we don’t aren’t you worried it’ll make you look like a bad teacher’. An emphatic ‘no’ again!

If you're SLT and you're getting your staff to mark fortnightly or 'deep dive' pieces of kids work with written feedback ect... I'm telling you now all those hours of marking by your teachers are having zero impact on student outcomes and it's making your teachers unhappy.
