Sleep pattern has been disrupted with world events. The best decision I've ever made is not to drink even though, I have people going through things. I have to be accountable when I'm needed.
Someday's are better that others. There's no way not to be Greatful when you start the day sober..
Today, I'm doing a gratitude list.. I am not very good at that because inside expected a lot, how disappointed I was. When, I sit, I'm grateful for everything that has ever happened because it made me who I am today.
You know what's great about being sober, I have choices that I never had drunk.
Being retired is awesome. Being retired has its rewards and challenges. Being sober is no longer a challenge, it's a thing. A thing I'm going to try and keep. No one ever said Being sober was easy, being drunk is much harder. I'm glad, I have today.
Today is another day ending in "y" what I chose to do with the "y" is my choice. Today, I'm starting out sober..I have a good start...
Life is good when you surrender and take it as it comes. We all are successful because WE just can't surrender. I sure did succumb to the pleasures of drinking. Once, I realized I was just surrendering to myself, it became something I could do. I'm glad I surrendered. Aren't you?
You know, when you wake up sober and you don't have to worry how you got home, where's the vehicle is or lost keys.... such a great feeling.
You know, when you go to bed sober, chances are you'll wake up like that.
I've had an amazing week. Made it through the super bowl and valentines day alone. The best thing, even when I'm alone, I could drink and no one would know. Since this is a program of rigorous honesty (for ourself only), I know. I always check myself. Keeping my sidewalk clean.
The days get better, the nights go by, I'm sober and can finally look myself in the eye...
