Xmas present finally had some use yesterday 🤩
Last night had a Greek red, actually from a chain of delis (Kostarelou). A Cabernet Sauvignon which has a surprising amount of age considering the price! Great value wine
Greek wine needs to be appreciated more. Some lovely bottles coming out of the country right now! Took full advantage of the @Botiliagr flash sale tonight to top up the Hellenic section of my cellar... ❤️🍷 🇬🇷
🍷 Tasting notes: Vikarus "Heliodor II" 2019 🍇 Grapes: 100% Pinot gris Tasting notes: Nose it’s full & aromatic. Bouquet is interesting with white flowers, citrus notes & a tropical side, unripe mango(?). There is an herbaceous side to it, too. Nice! sommsnotes.com/notes/heliodor…
Thinking about the fires in Evia these days. I wish I could do something to help the situation. Sadly, I'm no fireman. I can only talk about Evia's lovely wine. sommsnotes.com/notes/viognier…

I'm still in Greece. I'd love to talk more about the beautiful wines this country has but I'm too worried about the fires devastating Attica. My thoughts are with everyone affected. My support & respect goes to the fire teams and everyone involved in stopping this catastrophe
...And the "traditional" wine from the same winery: sommsnotes.com/notes/piedra-r… What are your thoughts?
Are you a "natural wine" lover or do prefer "traditional" wines? I actually love when the same winery produces "natural" and "traditional" wines. I find them easier to compare! Any examples? Read on!⬇ sommsnotes.com/notes/piedra-n…
