#NationalSTEMDay encourages kids to explore their interests in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art, and math. 🔬 🎨 Learn more about women's representation in #STEM occupations in our #StatsForStories article: go.usa.gov/xe2um

On this #JobsDay we're spotlighting women veterans, ahead of #VeteransDay. Last month, women vets’ labor force participation was 59.8%, down from 61.3% pre-covid. To center women vets in our economic recovery, we must address the unique problems facing this community🧵(1/)

It is unconscionable that there is any risk to paid leave in #Build BackBetter, in a pandemic, jobs and care crisis. We demand #PaidLeaveForAll on behalf of every working family in America. #WorkingFamiliesNeedPaidLeave

Already, advocates are fuming over what they see as an unwillingness by the White House to fight hard enough for a policy it won election on, particularly in the face of a public health crisis and an economic crisis that disproportionately impacted women and low-wage workers

The Violence Against Women Act (#VAWA21) maintains vital protections for all survivors incl. access to safe housing & economic security. Now is NOT the time to maintain the status quo or roll back these vital protections. The Senate must pass a bipartisan #VAWA4ALL for survivors.

If you’re pregnant, we want you to know there is a network of abortion funds and support networks that will do everything in their power to help you get the information and care you need. Go to needabortion.org to find out more, including how to contact an abortion fund.

It is now after midnight central time and there has been no ruling from the Supreme Court on the Texas law that bans abortions after six weeks of pregnancy. That means the law has officially taken effect. An emergency request to block the law remains pending at SCOTUS.
