I know you're joking, but you totally can edit magit-buffers. In Spacemacs/Evil you can use evil-magit-toggle-text-mode, disable read-only-mode and go with it. I sometimes do that when I need for example list of branches sorted in certain way.

Emacs-Evil tip: Just like in Vim you can jump to previous position using <C-o> and forward <C-i> (in Spacemacs, set dotspacemacs-distinguish-gui-tab) but sometimes it's annoying when it takes you to a position in a different buffer. set evil-jumps-cross-buffers to nil
