Boris Johnson's struggle with graphs during COVID is an important reminder that good data visualisations should demand attention. theconversation.com/covid-inquiry-…

Such and honour for @oliveruberti and I to receive this! Thanks to all the @RoyalScotGeoSoc for their tireless efforts to promote the importance of geography!

We were delighted to have Professor James Cheshire speak for us at RSGS HQ last night, where we awarded him with the Bartholomew Globe for his joint work with Oliver Uberti, to transform complex data into inspiring information, by using stunning maps and visuals. Congrats James!

Wolf "M237" has been tracked walking nearly 2000km(!) across Europe. kora.ch/en/news/longes… 800km more than Slavc who's 1200km trek from Slovenia to Italy was my favourite story in Where the Animals Go. 👇Map of Slavc with the 🐺 populations of Europe

This - like my office heating breaking - has become a festive tradition.

Classic “campus greening” outside my office this morning. There’s a dead tree on the concrete where the temporary staging normally goes (I guess for Instagram) so staging is now wrecking fresh (living) turf that we’re not allowed to walk on 🙄. Why not swap them @UCLEstates?
