Battle Staff Tools 2.7.4 is now live with the possibility to have full frame flag symbols. #battlestafftools
Not even had time to release 2.8, and already working on the next thing.
Once you build it, it becomes obvious that this should have been done a long time ago. You can now see the full content of a file before you import it to the map.
The downside of verifying your code in old web browsers, is that you realize that Battle Staff Tools could have been built five years ago…
More testing is of course needed, but so far it looks like I actually will be able to print maps to scale.
Let me guess, it won’t be long until we see milsymbol used by @anduriltech in some way.

Last few days I have learned lots of things about Cloud Optimized GeoTIFFs. It took a lot of work to figure out that even if the full resolution is Google Maps Compatible, the overviews won’t. Need to reconsider my idea about moving between COG and mbtiles.
When a defense company reaches out to ask about prices, you never know if it is a single user or a major enterprise license…
Just released Battle Staff Tools 2.7.3 with a fix for Firefox versions older than 105 (2021). Because military systems might not always be running the latest and greatest.
