If you think that governments can ban #bitcoin, then you don’t understand #bitcoin. If you think that governments won’t try to ban #bitcoin, then you don’t understand governments.

I don’t understand what’s happening with this apparent back porting v30 mempool policy changes to previous versions of Core. Is it happening? How does it work & what are the ramifications? Can someone smart explain this to me? @jimmysong @giacomozucco @TheGuySwann @parman_the

👇👇👇 The number of people on both sides of this who have lost their grip on reality is exhausting.

I apologize in advance to anyone upset at my refusal to participate in the wildly hyperbolic catastrophizing, but here's reality: Bitcoin will be fine, whether you run Core or Knots, and I have no ill-feeling toward anyone regardless of which they choose ☮️

I really like the look of the Ledger Safe 7, but they have gone a bit overboard paying off people on Twitter to shill it. Take it easy lads. If it’s as good as you claim (and it does look awesome), it’ll get strong adoption organically…

Rightly or wrongly, having a valley girl accent seems to result in a much higher degree of suspicion about your intentions in this community.

Always remember Satoshi's Law. If they say bitcoin dies unless <thing>, they are trying to scam you. x.com/LukeDashjr/sta…

I like how the global financial surveillance panopticon is closing in around us faster than ever before, and Bitcoiners are the only ones with a real solution, but here we are debating about fucking op_return. We need to get our shit together if we are going to save the world.

Anti-knotzis: Knots is dangerous because it’s not gone through the rigorous code review of Core. Also anti-knotzis: Why are you using Knots? It’s basically the same codebase as Core. You should switch to something that Core hasn’t touched. Make your mind up bros!

Bitcoin always melts faces when there’s maximum blood on the streets. We’re not there yet, but when it happens and the green candles start rolling in, you are gonna witness global FOMO, combined with a multi-generational hyperinflation event. It will be biblical.

You can't premine bitcoin, but you can premine a treasury company to give yourself 51% ownership, reverse merger on the stock market, anoint yourself to a C-Suite position, and then give yourself a cushy compensation package that drains 7 figures per year from the BTC reserves.

Reminder: It is possible to use bitcoin in a private manner, despite the transparent ledger.

I’m starting to see people cry about how Bitcoin is a “bad investment”. A strong signal. But still not enough tears. I reckon one more leg down, probably to below 100k, to shake out the remaining high time preference losers and the we’re ready for the next rally.

I haven’t looked at a shitcoin chart since 2017 and still refuse to do so. But anyway sorry that happened or whatever. 🤷‍♂️

Just as in politics, we’ve been given a false dichotomy A) Run Core v30 & relay massive OP_return txs against the interests of the network B) Run Knots & centralise power around a single dev who wants to fork to prevent CSAM in blocks We need another implementation. @Excellion?

I have far more animosity towards people who shill treasury stocks than I do towards people who are pro lifting the OP_RETURN limit. People need to have a bit of perspective.

Why do Americans just casually put letters in phone numbers as if that’s a thing?

I think pushing the CSAM aspect is a bad faith move by the entire community and it has made many people question their integrity
