Hi all Could I please ask you to share this tweet which includes a form to a #research study I am conducting. It focuses on the ‘Psychology of Rescue’ And how the UK fire and rescue service can impact the chances of someone getting PTSD. forms.gle/kq7irGPTEU9Ji8…
So we now have a tested national alert system, so when the 999 systems went down today and lives were at risk. Why wasn’t it used? Surely this was its purpose. Am I wrong?
So I have now started a private vehicle fire investigation company called Rotae (Latin for wheels) with the Twitter name RotaeVFI. Looking for all my Fire friends on here to drop me a follow. Website is in its way. Thanks in advance.
On Sunday a Ford Mustang Mach-E caught fire in Gdańsk, Poland. At the time of the incident the vehicle was parked in a car parking space on a petrol station forecourt, it is unknown what caused thermal runaway to take place, however the vehicle was not on charge at the time.…
The future of vehicle fire investigation is here with 3D imaging. I need more practice with the fine tuning, I had a great teacher today with @CraigRayner17 he has multiple programs to help all fire and rescue service in multiple digital applications and is highly recommended.
It almost feels criminal to set fire to this car, but I'm still going to do it.
Very early 2am start to get to Norway. Followed by a great day of ICE vehicle and hybrid vehicle burns, Met some great delegates from Germany, Norway, India for a start. Really looking forward to a full electric burn tomorrow and getting to know the international investigators.
Only 48 hours until I arrive in Norway with @FireWise_UK for electric vehicle burns, some hands on training and to meet up with vehicle fire investigators from all corners of the globe. Busy week coming up.
Statistics show that at this time, electric cars are less likely to have a fire than fosil fuel cars. This I agree with. However, the destruction caused by an EV fire and risk to lives, property, or anything at all in the immediate area is far greater. That can not be denied.
Today we launch our #ChargeSafe⚡️ campaign to help Londoners use e-bikes and e-scooters safely and spot risks. Fires involving lithium batteries are the fastest growing fire risk in London 🔋🔥 ➡️Find out more and how to protect yourself and others: orlo.uk/HpqgS
Lithium ion battery fires are becoming a daily event. An E bike holds an average of 40 batteries at 36V. A fully electric car can have 7140 batteries at 400V. The devastation caused is huge. We need real safety legislation put in place now before multiple lives are lost.
Very lucky near miss for this man! Not sure on details of location or cause etc., anyone got more information?

This video shows a simulated ignition of a vapour cloud explosion, this was done to represent a lithium-ion battery the size of a small e-bike. Test was a synthetic mixture of CO, CO2, hydrogen etc representing the vapour cloud released pre-ignition from lithium-ion batteries
An electric vehicle's lithium batteries set fire to 70 motorcycles and scooters in China, the fire broke out in Zhenjiang, between Nanjing and Shanghai. The company's emergency services were unable to extinguish the start of the fire before it spread to other vehicles.
