That PowerSchool breach is likely about as “contained” as a fart on a plane. The @gnspes email address on this phishing attempt is from a grade 12 student at Amherst Regional High School. That’s @CCRCE_NS. Maybe more affected than just @CBVRCE_NS. @nseducation
After a scathing @OAG_NS indictment of growing violence, an admitted lack of checks and balances at @nseducation, and despite a $140 million-plus surplus, @nsgov reverses course and decides school boards will not be reinstated. Hey @TimHoustonNS, WTF is wrong with you?
Maybe it’s just me, but global IT outages don’t seem to happen on #IBMi.
During a penetration test in April, I discovered an #IBMi vulnerability that allows command line access with privilege elevation that's since been patched. Another reason to keep your systems up to date. I won't be discussing the details in order to protect unpatched systems.
