Tonight, @diore_nr2003 returns to the site of our nearest miss... last season, we led at the white, but not at the checkers. Now, a chance to put that right!
That... happened? A record field led to record chaos, and despite racing smartly to stay out of trouble, we couldn't avoid it for ever... a hard hit into the wall left our car somewhat compromised, but Fiore fought hard in the closing stages to hang on to 10th in a tough race.
New colours tonight for Dean Fiore as @diore_nr2003 heads to Charlotte. We'll be looking good under the lights, hoping for another top 5 to keep our momentum going!
A team Trans Am debut! Two more gears for Dean Fiore to deal with, but he dealt with them well, taking the lead on strategy before getting spun. He clawed back to second, and was closing on the lead, but ran out of laps. Another near miss, but a strong start! @diore_nr2003 #ARCC
Not a lot has changed. We showed great speed early, spending much of the race in second. But an unsignalled stop by the leader - and some incredible reactions from Fiore to prevent a wreck - seperated us from what became the winning group. We finished best of the rest, in fourth.
Back in action! @diore_nr2003 returns TONIGHT, Dean Fiore back behind the wheel of our #36 Dodge, once again chasing the title.
Well, we did what we needed to do. With our contenders out early, we decided to end our day, parking it on lap 60 and heading home. THIRD in the @diore_nr2003 championship is still a great achievement for our little team. We'll be back next year! Let's go two spots better.
One final race this season. The NULON entry heads to Homestead for the @diore_nr2003 finale.
We thought we were dreaming... 39 of the first 45 laps led, a very strong showing in the first half of the race. Things got messy later on, with a couple rotations, but a late race charge dragged our #13 back to P3, despite a last lap incident. A great result for the team.
Well, well, well... P2 in qualifying and a strong showing for MOST of the race... Fiore entered the final three laps in a very strong position with a great shot at the win. Unfortunately, the caution came out, and the race ended there. Still, a strong runner-up finish.
Unfortunately, a pit road penalty kept us out of a probable top 5, but we're happy to come away with a P7 and, for once, a clean car.
It's been a while, but we're back in JAIDENCAR! Felix Jansen hoping to deliver at Sonoma tonight. @Spirit_Of_Solar @JERRYCAR_NR2003
Give this guy a raise... it was another race of assaults, including a very near miss with the pit wall, and spent the final 26 laps with only 3 gears. But Fiore fought through it all, making up six spots in two laps on a late race restart to claw into P5, with a few laps led.
Dean Fiore bringing the Bing Lee colours to another @diore_nr2003 midweek race, this time in Mid Ohio. Not that we're expecting it back in one piece.
And... again. Great race pace from the NULON #36 today with Fiore racking up 8 laps led in 2 separate spells. He looked in position to compete for the win... but not everyone is willing to race clean. For the second weak in a row, our shot ended off the bumper of a Dodge. P7.
What could've been, so the usual. Running 2nd and battling for the lead for much of the closing stages, we... got wrecked! Three times! 11th is less than what we'd hoped for.
