Ag also reported that more than 89.4% of SNAP recipients were U.S born citizens. In case you’re bad at math, that means less than 11% of SNAP participants were foreign-born.
The most recent U.S. Ag Dept. data shows that (as of 2023), the racial breakdown of SNAP recipients is: White (35.4%). African American (25.7%). Hispanic (15.6%). Asian (3.9%). Native American (1.3%).
Worth noting that the three states whose residents benefit the most from #SNAP are Texas, Louisiana, and Florida. Wonder what they all have in common?

Democrats and Republicans make similar grocery purchases, but their brains engage different neural pathways while doing so.
