When our resident mad professor Ben (aka our Workshop Manager & all-round EV conversion guru) wants a welding mask, he doesn’t just buy one. He makes one. An Iron Man helmet with auto-dim & voice activated open/close. If there’s a cooler welding mask out there I’ve not seen it😎
If you're going to download my mappy tribute to #OzzyOsbourne that plots his touring history with both #BlackSabbath and as a solo artist be sure to look out for a couple of easter eggs. Free download: carto.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html…
Had a total blast filming this @sizeofficial x @adidasUK x Birmingham film for the limited edition Birmingham trainer. On sale very soon! Huge thanks to @Kieranrid @coreyrid from Le De La studio for having me on board and thanks to Jim @BigBearMusic68 & Meatdripper. Love this!
This could be Rome. If Rome was bankrupt, had rats the size of cats, and three-quarter length jeans suddenly became chic.
Happy retirement after eight years to realjourneytime.co.uk --- a fine tool that tracked most high frequency buses in the West Midlands. So I could see each bus, and how long it took (in this case to get from our flat to Moor St. Station on 31/01/2023) to get places.
The scale of the new @HS2ltd Curzon St viaduct no2 going into Curzon Street station is staggering. Will be 150m long and 25 metre high trusses. Will be lit up and be a spectacular welcome to city. hs2.org.uk/building-hs2/v… @MrTimDunn #Birmingham
I absolutely love this from @RoostWeather An interactive map showing whether or not it’s hot or not, based on the departure from average hour per hour 📉📈 istheukhotrightnow.com
Loved this comic as a kid. It felt really rebellious.
On this day in 1986. One of the best comics I ever worked for. 39 years ago today on Saturday 26th April 1986, OINK! comic made its debut as a free preview issue bagged with various comics, and as a standalone comic the week afterwards. Cover by Ian Jackson. Tom Thug by me.

"Rolls-Royce is soaring. Britain is indifferent" > good piece this. Though it doesn't seem to have an answer for the excellent question of why Britain doesn't seem to cherish and celebrate its national engineering and manufacturing champions. unherd.com/2025/03/rolls-…

Fantastic work by @LukeStrange22 at @OpenInnovates who's extended work on bus tracking I did (and still do) in the West Midlands to North West England and Yorkshire thanks to Liverpool City Region funding. Blog post here, and I'll show examples next. open-innovations.org/blog/2025-01-1…
Enjoyable thread this. Unfollows Tom and just uses Perplexity! (Just kidding Tom)
Probably gonna read this UK AI strategy stuff on Wednesday. Big decision is coffee or pints. Probably coffee.
How do cultural planners and policymakers work through the arts to create communities? This book of case studies illustrates the positive role that artists and organisations can play in curating and developing a sense of place. #OpenAccess: ow.ly/Ssa430sF3xF
Can someone explain to me why Vail is taking such a hard line with this strike? Ski Patrol is asking for a $2 per hour raise, which Vail can easily afford. One-day lift tickets are $300 (!!), and the reputational damage alone isn’t worth it. But why won't they give in?
