Remember that private environments can be your dorm, kitchen, bathroom, or your car. Public environments can be the library or coffee shops.
I can personally relate to the stress factor because there are places on campus I can't study at because I get stressed and overwhelmed.
This is my mood every time I try to study in private places such as the library.
