playfully rolling his eyes, he returned to his seat, carefully watching her with a grin. “oh, yeah — she totally will.” atticus teased. “one of them has my face on it, though. totally unique.”
" god, ace is going to think i'm copying her now, " she chuckled. a clear tease. she hadn't properly talked to her in ... a few years now, at least. but either way she's moving to look at each and every patch.
he returned her hug, giving her shoulder a gentle pat — as he always does. “yeah? you like it? there’s a little pouch of patches in there as well, for your funky jacket.”
it's a miracle she didn't burst right into happy tears. ever the emotional one as she can be. perky, peppy, all of that — but of course, she managed to retain her composure. yanking him in for a half hug as she faced him. " oh ... this is wonderful, genuinely, wonderful.ᐟ "
he almost matched her grin, perching at the end of her desk to watch her open the gift. his own could wait for now. he’d gotten her a purple, leather bound adventure journal — with one page already scribbled with a note. +
oh—.ᐟ she doesn't mind at all if he's late, and his present is waiting at his desk if he peeks. look at her smile ... the flowers? perfect. and she's slowly unwrapping her present.
he has a little present and a bunch of flowers for @superbiatech! ( yes, he is incredibly late. don’t mention it. )
