USC Keck student who recently asked for help told me last week that 20 students in his class are suicidal. Cause of death not released yet on Cordell as far as I know.
It is with a heavy heart to hear about the passing of Cordell Heckel. Cordell was a MS3 at USC Keck SOM and he was the founder of the LGBTQIA+ Med Students Facebook group. I join in sharing deepest condolences with Cordell’s parents, family, and friends as they mourn this loss
