#teacher on break update: enjoyed a shopping trip to #costco and bought more leggings I don’t need. Also a new pajama set and a chicken bake. Slept 9 full hours. Now I get to do nothing today. ☺️

Look, I need y’all to pray for me. I had the Arabic coffee and I’m about to explode. Oh dear lord they don’t make it like Folgers. Fuck.
2.5 hrs until formal class is over!! Field trip tomorrow and then PD Friday. SPRING BREAK is so close!! Gonna sleep, and do my taxes, and go on a mini hiking trip, and sleep, and sleep, and sleep. And hangout with my puppies. 🙂
I told my students they have one opportunity for extra credit and if they don’t do it, it’s mom’s spaghetti for them. The amount of eye roll and “that was dumb” comments were the most amount of participation I’ve heard all semester.
I can hardly stand to watch the news. I feel selfish with my safe sofa tears even having them. More needs to be done for Ukraine.
The news is absolutely devastating today for Ukraine. I just sit at my desk and cry seeing their amazing President plead with the world for any help they can get. Why can’t we stop this madness? Why isn’t more being done. It’s horrifying.
I’m patient, until patience no longer serves me. Tomorrow is Monday and I’ll be waking up accordingly.

Seeing pictures of the home I stayed at in Ukraine and how it’s being used now for refugees is just making me sob. Their house was built to serve people but seeing it in photos is just surreal. 😰 I hope they all remain safe
