When the world feels dark, focus on the Light. Think about Him. Teach about Him. Look to Him.
Little children don’t worry much about happiness, yet they’re the happiest people on earth. They simply enjoy what they’re doing & who they’re with. Maybe Christ saying we should “become as a child” is not only about being obedient, but also about being happy with life as it is.
People who adore someone, even when they know all their faults, are rare. People who don’t get jealous, but are happy for others’ successes are rare. People who treat others as valuable, no matter who they are, are rare. Be rare.

We are living in a time in which we shall see things both wonderful and awful. There is no way that we can be a part of the last days and have it otherwise. Even so, we are instructed by our Lord and Exemplar, Jesus Christ, to “be of good cheer” N. Maxwell I love people!

When you really care about what you’re doing and you fail, it hurts much more than it would if you didn’t care about it. But don’t stop trying and don’t stop caring. Your passion is what will transform your effort into success.
The 10 lepers story is about expressing gratitude, not just being grateful. All 10 felt grateful. Jesus saved them from misery. Only 1 took time to express gratitude. While the 9 were “healed” he was “made whole.” Don’t just be grateful. Take time to express it. Say something.
When Christ washed others’ feet He exemplified how His Church should function: servant leadership. If you think, "Why should I go? I don't get anything out of it" you’re missing the point. We don't go to church to be served, we go to serve. We don't go to get, we go to give.
Who do you spend the most time with? Do they drain you or fill you with energy & motivation? Your social circle is CRUCIAL to your happiness. Yes, be kind to everyone, but deliberately associate with people who make you excited to be you & fill you with optimism for the future.
Health is more important than weight. Liking yourself is more important than who follows you. Friendship is more important than popularity. Character is more important than looks. Your smile is more important than your clothes. Don’t be obsessed with the superficial. Be you.
God cares much more about your private spirituality, your relationship with Him, than He does about your public righteousness. Public religiousness without private devotion is like painted fire. It may look somewhat the same, but it definitely doesn’t feel the same.

Your darkest times, your mistakes, and those who have hurt you or abandoned you do not define your life. They do not direct your future. Let go of anger & hatred and hold tight to those who are loyal to you. Light is coming. Your brightest and happiest days are in front of you.
God knows the when the where the how and the why. All you have to do is keep trying and trust He will take care of the rest.
Want someone to know you care about them? Research shows the #1 way is to listen to them. Put your phone far away, square your shoulders to them, make eye contact, give physical & verbal feedback, don’t offer solutions, try to see the world as they see it. Listening = Love
