and while he felt guilty, he didn't say very much about it. instead allowing actions to speak louder. especially given how this face was so very internally conflicted. emotionally volatile, and whatnot. but she wouldn't be seeing that aspect very much.

these days especially, he'd never dare show her. even if humans were now permitted. in no small part due to his own actions, and of course, 𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒂. and arguably? his brother. either way, he's happy to see her again. and be chasing after stories with her.
she wouldn't mind at all. she'd learnt to accept all manner of strangeness from this universe, she'd be a hypocrite to start objecting now. besides. she quite liked seeing this side of him. she might have missed gallifrey, but she never >
good. he wouldn't want his .. uncanny valley nature to become an issue. true, the fourth was quite an alien figure but — he didn't help. this latest face.
and strangely - blessedly - it put sarah at ease. or perhaps she simply knew the alien well enough, that searching for quirks like these were part of the joy of their friendship now. . . . okay. he's passed.
