Such an insulting framing. I have two kids, one is high risk, both much happier “living their lives” than staying home. But I can’t ignore the particulars of each event, because one kid “living their life” can still result in one or more of us not getting to in the future.

We are now going on over 2 years with medically complex children missing essential care that helps keep them from getting sick. The key to having as full of a life as possible for many of this kids consistent and proactive care so bigger problems are stopped before they start.
And COVID lockdown aftereffects have done this in so many other areas. The executive function needed to parent, for example, was always high but is now even higher. Hey is a cool event coming to town? No way in hell will you get tickets or sign up in time bc access is limited.
