.@Tim_Walz is the kind of person who should be in politics – he’s a veteran, a teacher, and a coach. He knows who he is and what’s important. He's been a great governor, and he'll make an outstanding Vice President. Let's make it happen: IWillVote.com
Tim Walz has ZERO f*cks to give: “At McDonald's, he looks more like Ronald McDonald and Ronald wears less makeup. Everything about this guy is fake - next he's going to tell you he's a cop or construction worker because he dances to the Village People."
Walz: Look, I won't waste all of the time. I will talk about his running mate. His running mate, Elon Musk. Elon is on that stage jumping around skipping like a dipshit.
When Clarence Thomas said he wanted to take away a woman’s right to birth control, some told me that is just his opinion. But now I saw 195 of my Republican colleagues reject protection for contraceptives. This is not just an opinion of one man. This is their plan.
Make no mistake: Today's overruling of Roe v. Wade is the culmination of a deliberate effort over decades to upset the balance of our law. It’s a realization of an extreme ideology and a tragic error by the Supreme Court.
Make no mistake, the decisions of the last two days - guns & abortion - are not a function of legal, constitutional interpretation. They are solely the result of a change in Court personnel. This makes the Court a more obvious political institution, not one removed from politics
Merrick Garland makes clear DOJ's position that states cannot ban the abortion pill: "the FDA has approved the use of the medication Mifepristone. States may not ban Mifepristone based on disagreement with the FDA’s expert judgment about its safety and efficacy."
If it takes 50 votes to confirm a Supreme Court justice, it should only take 50 votes to overrule them when they act like highly-partisan politicians.
We are not powerless. Here’s what I’m fighting for: Expanding our Senate majority so we can eliminate the filibuster & codify Roe. Expanding the Supreme Court to rebalance this institution. Defending abortion rights in states through ballot measures and downballot elections.
Overturning Roe v. Wade and denying women the right to control their own bodies is an outrage and in defiance of what the American people want. Democrats must now end the filibuster in the Senate, codify Roe v. Wade, and once again make abortion legal and safe.
Term limits for Supreme Court Justices. 18 years. Pass my bill now. We have a counter majoritarian court defying the will of the American public.
BREAKING: The Supreme Court just overturned Roe v. Wade It is unjust. It is wrong. And I’m going to fight it with everything I’ve got. Send me to the U.S. Senate, and I’d *proudly* vote to codify Roe v. Wade into law.
Because of Trump, Mitch McConnell, and the Republican-controlled Supreme Court, American women today have less freedom than their mothers. The hypocrisy is raging; the harm is endless. Democrats cannot let this assault stand. We will organize and vote to restore our rights. -NP
Republicans are getting very upset people keep retweeting this ad so I figured I would post for any of you who haven’t seen it yet and then I am going to retweet myself tonight.
Women's rights are human rights and human rights are women's rights. An extreme wing of the Supreme Court may seek to deny that fundamental truth. They may try to force their views on a country where 70% of people want Roe upheld. We will not be quiet and we will not go back.
So the Republican Party supports forcing women to give birth against their will, but opposes providing childcare, paid leave or healthcare. Got it.
If #SCOTUS is going to legislate from the bench and turn back the clock 50 years on #RoeVWade, then the Senate needs to pass my Women’s Health Protection Act, and if we need to eliminate the filibuster to get it done, we should do that too. #WHPA
Please reply to this tweet with a single Bible verse condemning abortion. Go ahead. I've got all eternity.
Laura, explain what playing by the rules meant for you?! True, our mother worked as a waitress and stressed education. Oh, but how you twist facts to serve your own agenda. Why not have me on your show to discuss what really happened?! Your silence when pushed is so telling.
My mom worked as a waitress until she was 73 to help pay for our college, even helped with loan repayment. Loan forgiveness just another insult to those who play by the rules.
