You know what the biggest problem with pushing all-things-AI is? Wrong direction. I want AI to do my laundry and dishes so that I can do art and writing, not for AI to do my art and writing so that I can do my laundry and dishes.

AI didn’t democratize art. Artists did. Free YouTube tutorials, sketch pages, advice blogs, works-in-progress, mentorship, AMAs, process videos. Sharing materials, stock references, resources, and technique. These are freely available to anyone who wants to learn.

Data IS currency- photos, faces, art, music, film, legal documents, private emails, conversations. This is “money” and these companies will bend laws, claim fair use as a blanket solution in all ways to steal from everyone and anyone. This man suing the LAION is a necessity. 3/5
Trying to future proof my income as an artist has left little time to create for the sake of it. Hopefully some day I'll have a chance to get back into it. I've really appreciated all of the support people have shown me over the years
