Pastors who say things like this should be disqualified from being pastors. I said nothing to question God or Scripture simply his interpretation of Scripture and his response is to explicitly say that I challenged God. Such language puts him in God's position.
Scripture is clear that Sodom was not destroyed for homosexuality but for a lack of hospitality (Ezekiel 16) or for lusting after angels (Jude influenced by the Book of Enoch). When we say "scripture is clear" we should then speak exactly what that clarity reveals.

To be a Christian is to submit your thoughts and actions to the authority of Jesus. Scripture while good can be bent to the wrong ends. Submitting to Scripture isn't inherently the same as submitting to Jesus.
