When a woman lives with the stress of an overwhelmed schedule, she’ll ache with the sadness of an underwhelmed soul. Let’s pause today and take time to allow God to overwhelm our souls. And then let’s prayerfully ask Him if there is anything we need to say “no” to this week.
When I’m tired or stressed, I’m more likely to interpret interactions way more emotionally than I should. I may need to wait to respond until I’ve had a chance to rest & de-stress. A depleted girl can quickly become a defeated girl when she lets emotions dictate her reactions.
Saying that undocumented criminals are "animals, not people" = wrong. Calling groups of people a "basket of deplorables" = wrong. Critiquing one and defending the other = wrong. Maybe I'm missing something, but this doesn't seem that hard.
You will lose the heart of those you insist on controlling. You may keep the empty shell of relationship depending on their level of devotion, dependency or dysfunction but you will not keep their heart. Affection has a God-ordered allergy to tyranny. It grows where it’s free to.

Yes, faith still moves mountains. But sometimes the greater act of faith is not praying for the mountain to move instantly but rather hanging in there while God helps you bit by bit. Keep hanging in there, friend. He’s right by your side.

That step of obedience God has been nudging you to take? The one that sounds crazy to you? Do it scared. Do it imperfectly. Do it uncertain when you don't feel capable enough. It’s in that gap of all the unknowns where the Spirit has room to move. And God's strength takes over.
On the other side of every hardship is a resurrection. We must get into God’s Word and choose to believe that what God has said He will do will be done. Instead of focusing on the problems, we can have a resurrection mindset that holds fast to God’s promises. Good is coming!
Worship lifts my thoughts to a place where worry can no longer reach me. I don’t know what your favorite worship album is, but today is a great day to listen to it. To turn it up loud and remind your soul how near, how faithful, how amazing is our God.
Can you imagine the things you can do, the impact you could have on the world, if you tapped into your divine design and the dreams God has for your life? You are a solution to something in this world.
A few things to expect in a long-term project: *Getting midway through it, losing interest & getting all fired up for a new project. It’s temporary. If you keep giving way to that, you’ll never finish anything. *Having bouts of self-loathing. “This is awful. I’m an idiot.” ...
When God brings it all together, it’s not going to be what you think. It’s going to be bigger, better, and more rewarding than you ever expected.
Making a difference in this world isn't about being big and powerful. It's about being willing and obedient. Let's simply love where God leads us to love today... trusting that those small acts will make a big difference.
