This is untrue. Please do some more reading on this. There is good evidence that precolonial Nigerian cultures knew and NAMED kissing. Hausa has old words for kissing for eg sumbata (mentioned in Bargery’s 1934 dictionary) or in Yoruba for eg ifenukonu in Crowthers 1843 ref.
Might be because kissing as a romantic or erotic act wasn’t historically a widespread part of traditional Nigerian (or broader African) culture. It only became common quite recently actually.
This is the finest piece of speculative/sci fiction I've read this year! Gosh it was soo good. I think you've found a niche, and you should luxuriate in it more 🤌🏾💋 Excellent piece. I hope you keep writing.
