In India, 'Zomis' refers to illegal immigrants or refugees from Myanmar who arrived after the 1990s. The term 'Zo' originated from the Mizo tribe in the 1960s and doesn't apply to Kukis of India, Bangladesh & Myanmar. Zo should be confined to Mizoram state politics only.

The name 'Kuki' dates back to 6th-7th century in ancient texts like Mahabharata & Tripura Rajmala. In 16th-19th century Kuki history was recorded by British Colonial. In 1904 the British map of Kukiland (Kuki independent hill country) was drawn & recognised by British Government.
The 1904 British Map of Kuki Country can't be called Zoland, Zogam or Zalengam - it's Kukiland, recognised by UNO! Only Kuki name valid for rightful sovereignty per UN 1969 declaration. Only Bangladesh, India & Myanmar can cede these lands based in recorded Kuki history.
DARLONG TRIBE Darlong is a Kuki sub-tribe in Tripura, Mizoram & Manipur. Roots trace to Myanmar. Speak Darlong + Tripuri. Festivals: Chapchar Kut, Chavang Kut & traditional dances. The Darlong population in India is over 20,000.
The term "Zo" should be confined to Mizoram state politics only! Originated from Mizo tribe, no historical or etymological link to Chinese "Zhou". Meanwhile, Kuki nation existed pre-British India! Mahabharata & Tripura Rajmala document Kuki presence since 6th century BCE.
