They would've been fishermen, merchants, teachers, the promise of a nation. On July 1, 1916, some 800 Newfoundlanders advanced at Beaumont Hamel. More than 700 were killed, wounded, or missing the next morning. Please remember the Royal Newfoundland Regiment.
