Last night a male involved in a domestic incident started making threats to officers as they arrived including one of our handlers. We introduced the male to PD Ike who displayed how we will respond to violent threats. The male quickly seen sense & was arrested! well done Ike 👏

…..which prompts me to ask a Q I’ve pondered for a while. (As patient and as relative I’ve met a no. of paramedics and been impressed by almost all. (If U agree PA have a role in right place at right time) why is X years’ paramedic practice not an essential part of PA training?
My husband was asked by a PA to take his blood pressure 4 times daily. After he had had what was obvious to me my husband ,family members a TIA. He duly did this and suffered another TIA while driving. The paramedics told us he had had a typical TIA. Taken to A&E
