Simplest thing to do is embrace it all. The thrills, the joy, the messy hair, and the fear along the ride. After all, that’s what makes it worth riding? Makes no difference where you sit on the ride. The best seat is often in the back. Takes the pressure off of being first.

Relationships allow permission to push. I spent 3 years as a struggling reader before a teacher advocated for me to switch to a public school. That’s when I finally had a teacher who knew me, believed in me and pushed me to believe in myself. Happy teacher appreciation week!
