Just like Aust: Scotland & Eng report no overall increase in alcohol consumption during Covid. Increased bottleshop sales offset by closed hospitality venues and less drinking occasions. Don’t trust those claiming covid drinking levels have gone up. bit.ly/3uapJZO
Let’s not forget why alcohol retail sales were up in 2020. It’s because pubs, clubs and restaurants were either shut or suffered restricted trading hours for many weeks. Australians drink less alcohol now than they did 50 years ago. #auspol
