Ruby on Rails, Organizing @blastoffrails
I sat down with @AmandaBPerino of the Rails Foundation to ask her how Rails World comes together. She really pays attention to the finer details of the conference experience and I really enjoyed this interview. I hope you will to! rubyconferenceproject.com/2025-10-03-ama…
Blastoff Rails (@blastoffrails), a new regional Rails conference, is coming to New Mexico, June 11-12, 2026. For everyone who loves building with Rails. Early Bird tickets and CFP now open → blastoffrails.com
Early bird tickets are also on sale if you don't want to be a speaker but want to experience the fun! blastoffrails.com/tickets.html

I think it is a hugely positive thing that AI has made it so that people without programming experience (or very little) can build things. I also think it is more important than ever for consumers to vet the companies they are giving their money and data to.
Friendly.rb is taking a break. We've had quite a few questions about that and wanted to share them publicly. blog.adrianthedev.com/friendly-is-ta…
The calendar link blew my mind
Dictate like you’re thinking out loud. Monologue handles the rest: formatting, self-corrections, even pulling in your calendar link. Here’s how Monologue founder @naveennaidu_m uses it to schedule a meeting in seconds:
I really good write-up of FriendlyRb. I know I sound like a broken record, but go to conferences, they are amazing! schembri.me/new-experience…
This video triggers a lot of good memories! Go to conferences!
Rails World 2025 recap: 814 Rails devs from 62 countries gathered in Amsterdam for more than two days of the latest news in Rails, technical talks, networking, and one fantastic closing party. Read the highlights here: rubyonrails.org/2025/9/15/rail… #RailsWorld
The CFP for Blastoff Rails is open! Looking forward to reading all the submissions!
Our CFP is officially live! It is open for a couple months so you can ponder your best ideas (or several) but don't overthink it. We pay for your flight and hotel!
This is so cool! I want a Ruby Passport!
At Rails World 2025 @adrianthedev & @adrienpoly announced a new community initiative - the Ruby Passport! 🪪 Wanna claim your passport? Watch the announcement & learn how to get one! 👉youtu.be/VWHXMHgoAEY

I love seeing the many Youtube comments on @dhh's Rails World keynote that start with "I've never written a single line of Ruby in my life but <insert positive comment about Linux, Omarchy, Rails, etc>". Maybe they will give Rails a shot. And that's pretty cool.
Sponsor Rails Camp! 🚀 We’re seeking pre-launch partners to join before 2026 registration (during peak traffic!) across site, X, LinkedIn & IG Packages range from $800–$7.5K supporting scholarships, transportation, camp activities, shirts & more: west.railscamp.us/sponsor
Another fantastic interview with a Ruby conference organizer! This time with @hanaharencar. Really hope I can make it to Helvetic Ruby someday. Their 2026 event is happening in November in Zurich! rubyconferenceproject.com/2025-08-30-int…
Done! @typesense is now a happy sponsor of @marcoroth_ for his incredible work on Herb::Engine and then some more. Thanks for the nudge @coorasse
If you are not yet sponsoring @marcoroth_, why not? This can be a great gesture from each one of us and a concrete sign of appreciation for what he does. github.com/sponsors/marco… We already sponsor him at @renuo and we'll try to do more next year! #rubyonrails #railsworld
