Sure is cool to see lead line progress in person…
Pittsburgh has transformed a 2016 lead water crisis into a national model, replacing over 13,000 lead service lines with copper. Funded by SRF loans and infrastructure grants at no cost to homeowners, @pgh2o is over halfway to its 2027 goal of full replacement.
Houston is known as the energy capital—but it’s also rediscovering its roots as the Bayou City. In this episode, Ayanna Jolivet Mccloud, discusses efforts to protect wetlands, hold polluters accountable, and connect communities with their watersheds. bit.ly/BayouRebirth
In California, a 115-million-gallon reservoir of recycled water irrigates seven golf courses, including the famed Pebble Beach, using 260 million gallons annually. Launched in the 1990s to ease pressure on the Carmel River, this project’s advanced reverse osmosis treatment…
After visiting SoCal reuse projects, the Delta, and Central Valley ag fields — I’ve got questions about Delta Tunnel. Should it even happen? Do cities really need it? Shouldn’t farms get water instead? Are small towns being ignored again? Is this just a political move for Newsom?
California's water future could be shaped by a $20 billion gamble with the controversial Delta Tunnel. This episode dives deep into the high-stakes project with Camille von Kaenel, California Environment Reporter for POLITICO. She unravels the complex plan to transport water…

I use manners like “please” and “thank you” when working with AI.
Hey @tiktok_us! My account for @thewaterloop news outlet was hacked and stolen. I’m desperate to get it back. Help please!

I always check out local waterways when traveling. I’m particularly interested in how cities “package and present” their rivers. This evening I found the Buffalo Bayou in downtown Houston. Looks like they’ve tried to create public connection but it didn’t feel very used.

For World Water Day I was invited on a paddle to one of the oldest trees in the world, a 2,600 year old bald cypress in the Black River in N.C. It’s mind boggling to think of all that has happened while this tree grew. Extra special to take my son along for the adventure.
