#protectHighPark #biodiversity Five years ago, Passover Full Moon would be only light spilling over Grenadier Pond in High Park. Those, calling now Provincially Significant Wetland home, could live less disturbed lives. So could we, people. Keep city out of TO's remaining nature!

The Council @MayorOliviaChow needs to vote for upholding of #Environmentalpolicies adopted in 2015. #OPA262 was to protect designated natural heritage #theESAs in conformity with PPS "Natural features and areas shall be protected for the long term" City has no choice but protect!

City Council votes - to uphold its own policies that direct development away from natural areas - or to award a developer more height as a tradeoff - or to ask the OLT to decide. What should Council do?

Our last day to make some noise about the luxury condo development proposed for the edge of our beloved neighbourhood ravine, #glenstewartravine. It's in the Beach, but, if it could happen here, it could probably happen somewhere else. Maybe #mooreparkravine, #valeofavoca Write

Nope they love Toronto enough to actually work for a better city despite the idiotic comments from vested interests and the I'll informed. We need more of them

#EHON This view is suffering a delusion of grandeur, a lacking self-awareness. @AlexanderGlista's view is likely similar to those who respond positively to #Yimbyism #Wokism #smartgrowth driven views on #intensification. Yet, it does not nearly represents majority spectra in TO.

These women hate Toronto and should move to the exurbs.

The biggest source of CO2/GHG in TO/GTA are #buildings. Cities are viewed by science as source of GHG and #ecologicaldeficit. Canadians have some of the highest #ecologicalfootprint/capita. #Smartgrowth no science just makes cites to absorb more people to support #Infinitegrowth.

All the data points to this being a good idea. Your beliefs are to urbanism what climate denial is to meteorologists.

A lot of #greenwashing @JoshMatlow supported by little real data on what most of people living in neighborhoods want. What #walkable #livable city really means? More imposed #density, a push for economic activities in R-zone? More fossil use #GHG⬆️#consumption @JasonThorne_RPP?

Having a local neighbourhood cafe contributes to a sense of community. A local grocer or convenience store nearby supports a walkable and livable city. I’m moving this motion to allow for this opportunity in communities that would welcome it. It’s time to lead.

Birds, insects, wild mammals/reptiles, fish, old growth forests- ... all being swept aside by the human economic growth tide.

Bird decline isn’t a mystery. We paved their hunting grounds, poisoned their food, and sterilized their yards. Now mornings are quiet.

Are you saying @itsahousingtrap that extr. #density of cities is something desirable #sustainable? Or rather a consequence of the absent family planing in the underdeveloped/poor countries? Or a misguided #immigration policy in dev. countries, such as in the past years in Canada?

If every proposed skyscraper in Toronto were built, we would have the 3rd most skyscrapers in the entire world, and a population density that doesn’t even make the top 50 list.
