A sure-fire way to MAKE OAKLAND EVEN MORE CORRUPT is to tell elected officials and city staff, “Don’t worry, we’ll pay your legal fees with taxpayer money no matter what crimes you commit.” We must not use taxpayer money to protect friends and political allies who commit crimes.

As a resident of Oakland, it seems like a valuable lesson learned - don’t take for granted what we currently have in our city. Divorces are messy.
Moving the @Raiders to Las Vegas has been a total failure - on all fronts. The only "positive" thing it did was increase the wealth of an incompetent failson who inherited (and did NOT earn) a multibillion-dollar franchise. It gave more money to an already wealthy guy. That's it.
If people in Oakland paid as much attention to city politics and news as much as they did to MSNBC or CNN, perhaps we’d be in a different situation.
