Beyond the FTA negotiations the UK's future prosperity relies on good constructive dialogue with the EU, on everything, forever. Living beside the EU, US or China is like rooming with a gorilla. FTA talks agreeing a rent split doesn't mean you no longer need its cooperation.
I argued for years that ‘Brexit’ falls apart when you have to write it down. It was always the ultimate unicorn-slayer. It didn’t cross my mind that they’d write it down, lie about what they’d written & then blame others for what they’d done. But the original point still stands.
