Just took my first Waymo from Union Square to 3 Embarcadero Centre. Hands down, this was the most magical experience I've had in SF! I felt completely safe sitting next to a driverless seat. 🚶🏻‍♀️ The car carefully checks pedestrian lanes 🏍️ always stops to let other vehicles…

Imagine chatGPT searches, summarizes, and create content from knowledge databases like academic journal articles. What a noise-cancelling, supercharged learning experience that will be ☺️. #ChatGPT

Spent 2 days at a16z in SF. #TimeToBuild captured all there is to me in building a technology startup. The feasibility and value of new technology will remain unknown till someone builds it, demonstrates it and inspires the market of how to use it.

One benefit of founding companies with PhDs is I get communication skills trained by people who successfully ground through making bulletproof arguments.

An experienced founder cleared my thoughts today by telling me my startup won't fail because of the market nor the product. Time to better the execution.

Always feeling great to open a #startmate box ❤️. The best timing for a book about #buildgoodhabbits 📖🏝

Business opportunities exist both in problems people suffer today and the possibilities that are yet to be discovered. Learnings today: add a pinch of creativity to a highly disciplined go-to-market when going from 0 to 1.

13/ In summary, it’s important to ask questions about new technologies that go beyond first impressions. 🚂 “Looks like a toy” → How fast will it improve? 💰 “Too expensive”→ How fast will the price come down? 🛠 “Doesn’t solve a problem” → Does it provide new capabilities?

Completing daily to-dos doesn't always help to make progress.

2/ 3)if deliberately taking the suboptimal alternative, it’s trying to look busy to get the false sense of progress. I try to be self reminded of this at all times.

1/ Taking an alternative route to get from A to B during rush hour = 1) if successful, it’s achieving the goal by solving a problem differently. 2) if taken the same time or longer, it’s testing various methods and identify the best option.

Covid made me realise the value in having the option to do things, things that I didn't appreciate enough - travel abroad to see my ageing parents, connect with others on social network, supportive parents and partner who provided me the roof so I can pursue the path of startups.

The “almost educational” startup show 🤣looking forward to its finale 🙌 #piedpiperrules

See you Sunday. #SiliconValleyHBO

Great to have met machine learning experts in the valley and deep learning is disrupting traditional ML.
