My favorite thing about home renovation shows is how the designer always makes sure to have a prominent space for those two possessions every family has. A large jar of flour and a wooden bowl of lemons.

I invite us to remember that perhaps the most repeated line in all of scripture is “It came to pass.” Painful days do pass. It might seem that they won’t, but they do. No regret is forever. No disappointment is fatal or final. No mistake is beyond remedy.
