Ignorant beyond words. But I believe must also investigate whether some of this is being fueled by foreign (eg Russian) influence as happen ended in 2016.

Again, Trump folks - your “FIRE FAUCI!” chants would be so much more impactful if you weren’t wearing masks to protect against the thing you say doesn’t exist. It’s like saying there are no sharks then SCUBA diving in a shark cage. 🦈 VIDEO:

I am retweeting this reply because of its general concern to many CI researchers. Public funds are pouring to many "Data Science Institutes" which are likely to continue the exclusive "data-centric" focus of DL/ML unless an explicit commitment is made to snap out of it.#Bookofwhy

I see dozens of "Data Science Institutes" erected across the country, I read their manifestos and I check their advisory boards. Causality does not seem to be on their agenda. Which makes one doubt whether the Ladder has been internalized and where this hype will end. #Bookofwhy

Here is the Newsday story - credit to @BillDedman for bring me onboard to be the statistical expert:

Opinion: The new digital endpoints library provides a transparent, accountable sharing of efforts from industry. Using and contributing to the library allows for others to learn what digital measures and tools are being used in industry-sponsored trials. buff.ly/2CgP4aX

Very cool to read this interview with Jane Hall - @ucsf PhD doing biostats consulting in Seattle. She and @emergNsea were my first @CTSIatUCSF biostats clients and now she is the biostatistician. kolabtree.com/blog/interview…

Thank you so much for the honor!
