Subtle but sweet: every function in the docs at underscorejs.org now has a direct link to the annotated source code. Thanks to Steve Greig for the suggestion. #javascript
In version 1.13.5, we accidentally leaked a devDependency through a postinstall script. This has now been fixed in version 1.13.6. Sorry for the inconvenience. underscorejs.org/#1.13.6
We just released Underscore version 1.13.5. There are no code changes, but we added a require.module exports condition. This helps to prevent duplicate copies of Underscore in Rollup- and WebPack-generated bundles. #javascript underscorejs.org/#1.13.5
We just released Underscore.js version 1.13.4, which restores compatibility with @webpack module federation. underscorejs.org/#1.13.4 #javascript
This takes into account the special precedence of logical operators `&&` vs. `||` in #ExtendScript—as they do not comply with #JavaScript rules.
We released Underscore 1.13.3, which improves compatibility with #ExtendScript, lowers our carbon footprint due to #ContinuousIntegration and improves on CI in a few other ways as well. underscorejs.org/#1.13.3 #javascript

Good news for folks out there using @underscoredotjs together with @npmjs, who think they are stuck with an older version of Underscore because of transitive dependencies. You are not stuck! You can use the overrides field in the package.json. docs.npmjs.com/cli/v8/configu… #javascript

I'm proposing to make a future Backbone v2 prototype-centric instead of constructor-centric. Just an idea, not really a plan yet. Backbone v2 is still mostly theoretical. Thoughts welcome. #javascript github.com/jashkenas/back…

Embrace prototypes · Issue #4245 · jashkenas/backbone
The ES6 class emulation convention doesn't sit well with Backbone, mostly because it provides no convenient way to set non-function prototype properties. In fact, in my opinion, the ES6 class e...
Underscore 1.13.2 is out! This update packs two minor bugfixes. Also, our website is now mobile-friendly! underscorejs.org/#1.13.2 #javascript
Underscore 1.13.1 is out. No code changes, but the underscore.js alias is restored to git and the website for #legacy systems that rely on this file name. Please update your code to use underscore-umd.js instead, regardless; ESM is the future. underscorejs.org/#1.13.1 #javascript
