And so Bone lost the seat not only for himself but for his girlfriend and his party. The consequences of bullying your staff are now clear and real. MPs take note.

A truly significant moment. For the first time an MP has lost their seat predominantly due to bullying staff. I hope others take note and recognise that their behaviour may now have severe consequences.

BREAKING: By-election in Wellingborough 🚨 13.2% of voters signed the recall petition - surpassing the 10% threshold needed. Peter Bone will cease to be an MP but can stand in the forthcoming by-election. The Conservatives held the seat with a 19,000 majority in 2019.
