Today I will be especially remembering Stephen. 30 years have passed but it feels like it was yesterday. I have had the honour of meeting his friends and family over the years - dignified at all times and the legacy they have created will remain with us. #StephenLawrenceDay

A little reminder, that if you’ve been retained on duty, you have the right to a meal & the adequate break between shifts. If you’re unsure, ask your supervisor before you book off & most importantly get home safely please. You may be a number at work, but you’re not at home! 🚨

Yesterday in Leicester Square, London, two Police heroes were viciously attacked and hospitalised. Almost to the day, ten years earlier in Manchester, two angels in blue did not survive their repugnant attacker. Remembering Nicola and Fiona - RIP. Protect the protectors!

Protest removal teams were utilised and 23 people have been arrested. They remain in custody. ACC Dennis Murray said: “Thames Valley Police respects the right for peaceful protest but will take action when protest activity infringes on others going about their lawful business."

My personal political views aside, UK Black and Asian youths should be encouraged by this photo and see that they too can breakthrough, IF they believe in themselves, avoid excuses, & work hard. The biggest barrier to success is in the limitations of our own thinking. Move on up!

Forced positivity is a form of denial. When you tell someone to "just be positive," what you're basically communicating is this: "My comfort is more important than your reality.”
