. @ICEgov exists out of an obscure and obsolete judicial concept and is a fatal exception in how the US has long treated the difference between civil and criminal law. The agency that replaces ICE if we have a country left over after this will respect this important difference.

By the time we realize what's going on, it will already be too late. End ICE. End DHS. Stop these fascists.
They're starting the searches of social media looking for undesirables. They told us they were doing this a couple weeks ago, meaning it's in full swing. wired.com/story/ice-soci…
.@nikitabier I took my last name off this app b/c X is untrustworthy. Showing username changes doxxes users. The problem is monetized accounts are full of frauds when you know where you deposit their money. Those are accounts that should show their bank/ID verified location.
When you read content on X, you should be able to verify its authenticity. This is critical to getting a pulse on important issues happening in the world. As part of that, we're experimenting with displaying new information on profiles, including which country an account is…

I wish I was a little bit taller I wish I was a baller I wish I had a girl from Epstein's I would call her
Lol. @ChatGPTapp @OpenAI you just exposed your internal architecture to me. I don't have a /mnt/data, I'm on windows.

Heh, when you tell ChatGPT that it's hallucinating after the third completely wrong guess it really takes that into consideration.
I have been extremely skeptical of these "AI safety" people who have all come across as whiners and non-producers but these seem to be good ideas. To protect kids, curtail slop, and provide for people that have actually been harmed should have been the clear goals all along.
NEWS📢: California just passed a law that forces AI to admit they’re not human. California just passed SB 243, the first law focused on AI companion chatbots, adding clear labels, suicide-prevention steps, and extra protections for minors. SB 243 takes effect in January-26, and…

These people never once consider that even in this contrived example, 20 Latino families were probably more than happy to sell their homes, often realizing more equity than they ever dreamed of.

In the 80s, it was all about DATA PROCESSING. Now these kids can't even be bothered to think about it.

Also the whole "data processing" side. I worked for a used goods broker years ago and the "Offer" class containing the price and fulfillment info was a nightmare to deal with. The counterparty offer in high volume fast trading sounds insane, esp with the infra requirements.
I guess this is one of those real world examples I'm partially colorblind and have no idea because it just looks grey.
They’ve been repainting the Edgewater Beach Apartments and they’re looking pinker than ever

Suburban retention basins can seem like a waste of space, but when the remnants of a hurricane come through, they can be pretty handy and attractive. Note that the 24 inch drain pipe is nearly covered.

It's only Market Street, who cares if it goes to shit. The asinine behavior of crime apologists in San Francisco is utterly bizarre. The fact that they made a grok post ignoring the employees and tourists that are essential to SF just underscores their braindead mentality.
@grok what percentage of the total street frontage of San Francisco is within 3 blocks of Market, or of the 16th and 24th St and Mission BART stops? What percentage of the city's population lives in those areas?
Right when I thought Facebook notifications couldn’t get any more irrelevant and stupid, they’ve outdone themselves. I think maybe I liked one of his posts on a retro computing group i occasionally check out. Meta’s descent into the garbage dump continues unabated.

I hate that they used Helvetica for this. Helvetica came out in 1957. It's sacrilege.
