gen z’s obsession with “aesthetics” and the literal MECHANIZATION of the language aesthetics via AI art are largely both due to incentives created by social media algorithms. So even a technology more primitive than AI has shaped how we make art and also how we think. bodes well!

it’s so important to humans and our reasoning that we are able to 1) suffer and 2) have subjective experiences. this will largely be absent from LLMs/AIs making the executive calls for how we can optimize every aspect of our lives, and is worrying lol

if you call it "AI risk mitigation research", you get to use the acronym "ARMR" and pronounce it "armor". just sayin'.

This is the way the world ends This is the way the world ends Not with a bang but with robots pretending to be humans pretending to be robots pretending to be humans.

zelda has SO much potential for education it’s wild

This is one of those things that seems not that impressive since we’re used to real world physics being absolute/inherit, but video game engines do not exist in that realm and every facet of gravity, relativity and force has to programmed by hand around obtuse component systems.

the fact that Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's best players are essentially all ENGINEERS has huge implication for gaming/software as an educational tool moving forward.

it’s sad that recreating labo is the best idea nintendo could come up with for zelda

Even if it’s different guys it’s the same guys. Their “disruptive” new ideas are always just toys and never like a new and exciting way to end childhood hunger.
