The DASH diet, the darling of doctors trying to avoid culture wars in advising lifestyle modification, has 1 book on the shelf at the library. There are about 12 feet of books (shelf space) for vegan. About 6 for keto. One single book. That's the mind share it has.

low carb stuff reminds me of the book on how to be a healthy smoker. Given that you aren't going to give up bad habits, low carb says, give up one bad habit, say, candy, but binge on with the rest of your bad habits.


Got a soy latte at starbucks. Don't know what brand it was, but it tasted like a guar gum latte. Foam was huge bubble like you'd see in a street gutter after a rain.
