When training a member of our Raptor Crew one focus is the importance of providing a steady and stable platform on the glove. This helps maintain the trust between the trainer and the bird. A glass of water shows how a small movement can translate to a large one at bird level.

Larks like bare, open fields to forage for food on the ground. And they're flock birds. So when we released this horned lark we looked for an open field where we've seen flocks of larks & snow buntings. The 2 species often mix. #Salthaven #ldnont
